Do you offer emergency roof repairs?

Are your roofers qualified?
Our roofers are NVQ-qualified and CSCS-certified.
Do I need to be at home while you work?
Not always. For most outside work we only need access to the roof. We will agree the details with you before we start.
Will you tell me if I do not need a new roof?
Yes. We only recommend a new roof when repairs no longer make sense.
Do you work on flat roofs, chimneys and gutters as well?
Yes. We cover pitched and flat roofs, chimneys and leadwork, and roofline and guttering.
Do you need scaffolding for every job?
No. Small repairs can often be done safely from a ladder or tower. Larger jobs and re-roofs need scaffolding, which we arrange.
Can you help with an insurance claim?
We can provide photos and a written report of storm damage for your insurer.
Do you remove the waste?
Yes. We clear up every day and take away all waste when the job is finished.

Do I need permission from the Heritage Foundation to repair my roof?
It depends on where you live. Much of the original garden city estate is covered by the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation's scheme of management, which controls changes to the outside of properties in addition to any planning permission. Like-for-like repairs are often straightforward, but changing roof materials, adding roof windows or altering dormers may need consent. The scheme does not cover every part of town; for example, the Grange and Jackmans estates are not included. Check with the Heritage Foundation before work starts, and we will flag anything we think needs consent.
Can you match the old clay tiles on my Arts and Crafts house?
Usually, yes. We source matching reclaimed or new clay plain tiles so repairs blend in, and we keep sound original tiles wherever possible.
